Mindfulness tip of the week: The breath as a mirror!

Our breath has an incredible power, and you can tell a lot about how you are feeling by simply being mindful of your breathing.

In this way the breath is a mirror to our feelings. If we are stressed and anxious our breath reflects this by being shortened. If we are relaxed and calm our breath becomes longer.

It is possible to calm yourself by simply breathing longer and slower.

Try taking 10 deep breaths right now, and see how you feel afterwards!
